ArtCraft Apps and Brandon Thomas
Updated 2026-10-12
Who is Brandon Thomas?
The GitHub account echelon displays the name Brandon Thomas and describes him as the founder of ArtCraft, Storyteller.ai, and FakeYou, with engineering and filmmaking interests. This is self-described profile information. PhotoCraft’s repository credits the ArtCraft team and is hosted under storytold; its README is not used here as evidence naming Brandon as an individual author.
For attribution, keep three questions separate: who presents the product, which organization hosts a repository, and who contributed a particular change. A founder’s profile answers the first question, but does not prove sole authorship of every application or commit.
Twelve apps on the current ArtCraft page
Checked October 12, 2026, the ArtCraft apps page lists twelve applications:
- PhotoCraft — image editing.
- VectorCraft — vector illustration.
- FilmCraft — video editing.
- LightCraft — photo library and raw processing.
- PdfCraft — a PDF workbench.
- EffectCraft — motion graphics and visual effects.
- DesignCraft — page layout and publishing.
- WordCraft — word processing.
- SoundCraft — a digital audio workstation.
- DeckCraft — presentations.
- CADCraft — computer-aided design.
- GridCraft — spreadsheets.
The same page labels PhotoCraft and PdfCraft early alpha, with the other ten in development. A product listing is a description of the suite, not evidence that every application is production-ready. Pick one application and one concrete task before investing time in the entire family.
PhotoCraft milestones
- September 30, 2026: the repository creation date in the work order’s saved GitHub API snapshot, as of October 11, 2026. The API could not be refreshed during this check; this milestone uses the expressly permitted dated fallback.
- October 5, 2026: PhotoCraft v0.2.0 appears on the releases page.
- October 11, 2026: PhotoCraft v0.7.0 appears on the same releases page, and is its latest listed release when checked on October 12.
These are repository and release milestones, not a complete history of ArtCraft’s business or a claim about its first public announcement. Release frequency alone is not a quality measure. When comparing builds, save the version identifier beside your test results so a later update does not silently erase the context of your observations.
